Gutter Repair and New Gutters in Seminole
We fix gutters that still have life in them and replace the ones that don't. Every job gets the right pitch, downspouts that put water where it belongs, and a look at the fascia behind them. Small fixes now save your siding and foundation later.
Why Gutters Matter to Your Home
Rain runs down your roof and off the edge. A gutter is there to catch that water and send it away from your home. When a gutter sags, clogs or pulls loose, the water lands on the fascia, streaks down the siding and soaks the soil right next to your foundation.
Most gutter trouble starts small. A hanger works loose, a joint starts to drip, or a downspout empties against the wall. Catch those early and the system keeps doing its job for years. When old gutters are rusted through or bent past saving, we put up new one-piece aluminum gutters, formed in a single length for each run.
We look at gutters the way roofers do. Our crew brings over 20 years of combined roofing experience, so while the ladders are up we also check the drip edge, the fascia and the first row of shingles. The work is done under our Oklahoma general contractor license, and any rotted fascia we find gets replaced before a gutter goes back on.
What Our Gutter Work Covers
One-piece aluminum gutters
We form each straight run as a single length on site. Joints only show up where runs turn a corner or end, so there are far fewer spots that can start leaking down the road.
Resetting slope and hangers
A gutter should drop about a quarter inch for every ten feet toward its downspout. We reset runs that hold standing water and fasten them with hidden hangers screwed into solid wood.
Resealing joints and end caps
Old caulk comes out, the joint gets dried, and fresh gutter sealant goes in. That simple fix ends the drip that stains your fascia.
Downspouts and extensions
We size and place downspouts for how much water each section of roof sheds. Extensions or splash blocks carry it several feet out from your foundation.
Fascia and drip edge
A gutter can't hang on soft wood. We swap out rotted fascia and make sure the drip edge tucks into the gutter so water can't sneak behind it.
Guards when they help
Under heavy tree cover, guards can mean fewer clogs. If they won't do much for your roof, we'll tell you and save you the money.
When Your Gutters Need Attention
Overflow in a steady rain
Water pouring over the front edge means a clog, a gutter that's too small or slope running the wrong direction. Heavy Oklahoma spring rains tend to expose these weak spots quickly.
Sagging sections
When a run droops or tilts away from the roofline, the hangers have let go or the wood behind them is rotting. Every load of water and leaves makes it worse.
Streaks and peeling paint
Dark lines down the siding or flaking paint on the fascia often point to a leaking joint or water slipping in behind the gutter.
Wet ground by the walls
Soil washing away, mulch drifting off or puddles along the foundation tell you the downspouts are dumping too close to your home.
Rust, splits or weeds
Rust spots, cracked joints or plants sprouting in the trough show water has been sitting in there for a long while.
What to Expect on a Gutter Job
- 1
We look it all over
We check each run, corner and downspout, along with the fascia and roof edge. We take photos and show you what we saw.
- 2
Written estimate
Every item is listed on its own line, so repairs and replacement parts are easy to tell apart. When a repair will do, that's what we suggest.
- 3
The work day
We cover flower beds and walks, remove what has to come down and replace any bad fascia. Next we hang the gutters, set the slope and connect the downspouts. Most homes are finished in one day.
- 4
Flow check and cleanup
Before packing up, we send water down every section with a garden hose and watch the joints and outlets. Scrap metal, screws and debris get hauled off, and we go over the finished work with you.
What Sets the Price of a Gutter Job
Two things drive most of the cost: how many feet of gutter your home needs and how sound the wood is behind it. Resealing a few seams and resetting a sagging run is a much smaller bill than a whole new system. We walk you through each line on the estimate, in person or over the phone.
- Footage and height
- Most of the price tracks the linear feet of gutter. Two-story walls take taller ladders and more setup, which adds labor.
- Corners and downspouts
- Each inside or outside corner, end cap and downspout means more parts and more time. A house with a lot of rooflines costs more than a simple box shape.
- Fascia condition
- Rotted boards get replaced before new gutters go on. Some rot only shows once the old gutter is down, and if we find more, we send you photos before doing anything extra.
- Guards and add-ons
- Guards, oversized downspouts and extensions raise the total. Plenty of homes need none of them, and we'll say so.
Common Gutter Questions
Something not covered here? (405) 957-4894
Should I repair my gutters or replace them?
When the metal is still solid and the problem is loose hangers, a dripping joint or poor slope, a repair usually does the job. Rust holes in the bottom, heavy denting or seams that won't stay sealed are signs it's time for new gutters. We show you what we found and tell you which we'd pick for our own house.
How often should gutters be cleaned?
Plan on twice a year, once in late spring and again after fall leaves come down. If big trees hang over your roof, you may need more. Gutters that stay clear drain quicker and don't strain the hangers with wet debris.
Should I replace my gutters when I get a new roof?
Only if they need it. Gutters that are still in decent shape can come down during the tear-off and go right back up afterward. If yours are close to worn out, doing both together means the roof edge only gets disturbed once. Our roof replacement page explains how that project runs.
Do gutter guards mean I never have to clean my gutters?
No. Guards stop leaves and twigs, but shingle granules and fine grit still settle in over time. Expect less cleaning, not zero. We'll give you a straight opinion on whether guards pay off for your trees and roof.
Do you work on gutters outside Seminole?
We do. Besides Seminole, we handle gutter work in Wewoka, Tecumseh, Shawnee, Holdenville and other towns close by. The service areas page has the full list.
